Dispensr 1000 Plastic Wrap Dispenser

I will never go back to using any other type of plastic wrap again! Once you get down the proper technique for using this dispenser, you won’t ever want to go back to those little infuriating boxes. If you’re thinking “Why does this require a special technique to use?” then please keep reading. Just like trying to use your first electric can opener, you have to learn how the tool was designed, otherwise it can get frustrating.This stuff is very “clingy.” That’s part of what makes it so fantastic. I don’t know if it says so in the instructions, but you’ll need to lubricate the inner circumference of the roll where it touches the guides. Without lubrication there is too much friction. (Just goop some petroleum jelly in there – it will not interfere with the wrap itself.) When dispensing, you can’t just pull forward…Here’s what you do: Don’t pull out a ton of wrap – just cling a SHORT length of wrap to the front edge of your plate (which means you’ll be putting most of your plate beneath the dispenser – but 6″ or more below). Once that leading edge has clung to the plate, pull the entire plate down and kinda toward you (but not straight forward), which will dispense the wrap rather easily. Once you have the wrap enclosing the entire plate/container, you’ll bring the whole plate up to cut the wrap. You will almost never need to pull out a strip of this stuff for carrying across the room (like when using the little cardboard box). Too often people want to pull straight toward themselves, which creates friction issues with the plastic rubbing too hard against the slot. Use a wide arcing motion and you’ll get brilliant results.This thing works AWESOME if you give it a go and try different techniques. Looking at the reviews, you can see that most people either absolutely love it (using the right technique) or are frustrated by it (not using the right technique). If you aren’t satisfied with how this works at first, keep at it and try different ways of making it work. In short order you’ll discover how to work WITH this thing rather than against it, and then you’ll be in leftover storage bliss!
